Explore the official MidiaCode Studio manual and learn how to transform your content into high-impact mobile experiences.

Module 1 — Introduction

What is Midiacode Studio?

Midiacode Studio is your publishing platform for marketing and mobile content. It allows you to create "smart content" that connects the physical world to the digital world through 3rd and 4th generation QR Codes.

With Studio, you don't just create a link; you manage a complete, traceable, and editable experience in real-time.

Midiacode is an innovative platform that revolutionizes how pharmaceutical companies communicate with patients and healthcare professionals. Through the creation and implementation of QR Codes on smart packaging and digital package inserts, Midiacode offers a range of benefits that enhance the patient experience, increase medication safety, and optimize marketing and communication strategies for the pharmaceutical industry.

The platform also features a CMS (Content Management System) to host content and create second, third, and fourth-generation QR Codes in one place. Some clients advance their end-user experience by also developing intelligent super apps with us, customized for their brand.

Benefits of Implementing QR Codes in the Pharmaceutical Industry

For pharmaceutical companies:

  • Brand strengthening: Demonstrates commitment to innovation, patient safety, and transparency.
  • Cost reduction: Reduces spending on printing and distribution of physical inserts, as digital inserts can be updated instantly.
  • Counterfeit prevention: Unique and traceable QR Codes allow for medication tracking throughout the supply chain.
  • Targeted marketing campaigns: Directs patients to personalized landing pages and support channels.
  • Patient behavior analysis: Engagement data provides valuable insights for strategic decisions.

For patients:

  • Instant access to information: Complete and updated digital package inserts for medications.
  • Explanatory videos: Facilitate understanding, especially for patients with low health literacy.
  • Personalized medication reminders: Help with treatment adherence.
  • Direct communication with pharmaceutical companies: To clear doubts and report side effects.

For healthcare professionals:

  • Quick access to precise information: Digital inserts facilitate prescription and treatment monitoring.
  • Authenticity verification: Identifies counterfeit medications.
  • Enhanced patient communication: Directs to specific support channels.

Module 2

What are Workspaces?

Workspaces function as folders where you organize your projects and content. You can create as many as you want (quantity depends on the contracted package), invite collaborators, define access permissions, and customize QR Codes.

Workspace organization works similarly to folders on cloud servers, where the manager controls who can access and edit the content.

Top Part of the Screen:

At the top of the screen, you'll find the yellow button to create content, the search field to filter content by name or category, the workspace name with the gear icon to configure it, and the options to view content in list or gallery format.

View Filters:

  • All available: all created content.
  • Published: only published content.
  • Drafts: only content in draft status.
  • Archived: archived content. Only the Midiacode team can unarchive it.

Module 2

Manage Workspaces

For corporate use of Midiacode, a master account must be defined, preferably assigned to a specific employee to ensure traceability. This account centralizes all rights regarding contracted quotas, including Workspace creation and management and collaborator allocation.

💡 Recommendation: Use a generic email for the master account, such as ra@company.com or info@company.com, facilitating the transfer of responsibility without changing the email address.

How is the master account defined?

When contracting the platform begins, Midiacode must receive information from the contractor regarding which user will be configured as master, via email suporte@midiacode.com.

Changing the master account user

If there is a need to change the master account user, an email must be sent to suporte@midiacode.com requesting the change. This email must be sent from the email registered in the contract as the contractor's primary contact.

Module 2

Search and filter content

1

To search for content, simply type its name in the search field.

Simply add the emails of authorized people and, when access no longer makes sense, you can remove them at any time.

📱 Workspace QR Code

Customize the workspace default QR Code. You will find detailed information in module 4.

🔗 Link Domain

By default, short links created in Midiacode Studio use the 1mc.co domain. However, the master account can request a custom domain for its content. Just click on Link Domain, choose the desired option, fill in the data, request customization, and wait for our contact.

In the first field, enter the address where you want the content to appear and click Search.

The geolocation spot will be displayed on the map.

3

1

Enable the lead capture option.

2

Define if you want to share the content directly (immediate after the form) or send it via Email or SMS.

Module 6

Serialized Content

A unique QR Code linked to a main content, allowing individual tracking. Used to prevent counterfeiting, optimize logistics, manage inventory, and create personalized experiences.

Management of published content is centralized in the main content, but analytical data is individualized — you identify exactly which serialized QR Code was accessed.

How to create:

1

Choose a content, click the 3 dots and go to Serialized Content.

2

Click "+ Add Batch".

3

Name the batch and set the quantity of serialized QR Codes you want to create. Click Create.

4

Once the codes are generated, you will receive a confirmation email and the status will change to Completed.

Module 6

Actions

Configure rules so that after a serialized QR Code reaches a specific number of accesses, the displayed content is automatically changed. Useful for fighting counterfeits.

1

Choose a content, click the 3 dots, go to Serialized Content.

2

Click Actions and then Add new action.

3

Choose an action. For "Open the content", choose the content that will be delivered after the rule is met.

4

Define the rules: index (e.g., Scans), rule (e.g., more than), and value (e.g., 2). Click Save.

Example: When a user scans the QR Code more than 2 times, instead of accessing the original content, they will access the second content defined in the action.

Module 6

Change Code

Allows changing a QR Code content to any other type without generating a new code.

Example: You created a PDF type QR Code for a product. Now you want this code to deliver a URL. Use the code swap for this — without needing to print a new QR Code.

1

Create the new desired content.

2

Go to the old QR Code, click the 3 dots and then QR Code.

3

Click Change Code.

4

Choose the new content created and confirm.

Module 7

Domain Blocking

The platform allows blocking members who are not from the company from accessing the workspace. This is especially useful when a collaborator leaves the team.

To activate domain blocking, the company must request it from Midiacode via email suporte@midiacode.com, so it can be applied to the master user account.

Module 7
